Get the Look - Julianne Hough at the MTV Movie Awards!

Julianne Hough made black look anything but boring at last Sunday’s MTV Movie Awards. But her dress wasn’t the only standout part of her look – check out her smoldering makeup!

Her makeup artist Spencer Barnes gives us the lowdown on how to recreate Julianne’s makeup look step-by-step:

Julianne wanted a sleek, sexy look to match her glossy straight hair and LBD, so Spencer kept her face pretty and natural, but brought the drama up to her eyes – a smoky eye really makes piercing blue eyes like Julianne’s pop! Here are the exact products he used along with a few tips:

  • Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation for a smooth base
  • Korres Multivitamin Compact Powder in MVP2 to mattify skin for the cameras
  • DermaMinerals DermaBronze Deep to contour the décolleté and sides of the nose
  • DermaMinerals Celestial Blush, a pretty peach that brought out her natural tan
  • Anastasia Brow Powder Duo in Medium Ash to really accentuate her arches
  • DermaMinerals Pressed Treatment for Eyes in Stratum (a great highlighter!) on the brow and corner of the eyes
  • DermaMinerals Pressed Treatment for Eyes in Halogen, rustic brown shimmer on the contour of the eyelid
  • At the lashline, I combined DermaMinerals Pressed Treatment for Eyes in Atomic (deep matte purple) and Charge (matte dark brown) with Lâncome Le Stylo Waterproof Eyeliner in Ebony for a smudged smoky eye
  • Christian Dior DiorShow Mascara – the most show-stopping mascara I’ve ever used!
  • MAC lashes #21 for added length and volume
  • DermaMinerals DermaKiss lipstick in Universe, a neutral peachy beige - beautiful!
