Admittingly, I”m no huge fan of winter. There are things I like about the season – Christmas, basketball, hot chocolate…but I despise the bitter cold. However, I’ve lived in a four-season climate long enough to realize that despite my disdain for the season itself, it makes me appreciate spring and summer to a capacity I don’t think would be possible without knowing the cold.
All of that said, there are two things that bring a smile to my face each and every winter: 1) Sweaters and 2) Boots. The cozy nature of those items can sometimes lift my spirit and mood like nothing else.
My winter boot collection is, what I imagine, much like every other woman’s. I have a range of neutrals, heel heights, booties, over-the-knee and some in between. And I of course have the “traditional” winter boots that seemingly everyone has – round toe, warm, wool-lined, some type of suede.
What my boot collection has been missing is a traditional winter boot that’s not the same as everyone else’s. Which is one of the main reason’s I was overjoyed to slide my feet into the Glitz Boot from LAMO Footwear. Completely covered in sequins with the exception of the faux fur lining that also trims the top and snakes its way down along the outside of the boot, this winter boot is nothing short of original. Me being a girly-kinda-girl, to me, anything covered in sequins is pretty-much perfect.
These have been my new go-to for cold winter days as they are not just stylish but incredibly warm. And the best part…I’ve not seen one other pair of sequin boots walking around town. I love an original!
The Glitz Boot retails for $84 at LamoFootwear.com and comes in whole sizes 5-11.
