You’ve got to love spring weather in the Midwest, right? Today for example, although cloudy was humid and warm with temperatures hovering around the mid-70’s. Friday, the high is supposed to 43. Ugh. 43 in the middle of January literally feels heavenly. 43 in April? Somehow it feels colder than the coldest day we endured in the winter. All of this said, spring dressing can be a pain. A cute dress one day, back to boots the next. While I don’t negotiate with my shoes (once I don the peep-toes, ain’t no goin’ back!), there are other items that I’m thankful to not really have to put away. Undoubtedly, one of those items is the Chunky Hand Crocheted Oversized Super Cozy Infinity Scarf from Midwest Crochet.
I was a lucky girl when I not only got invited to an event with Kathy and Rich Wakile from The Real Housewives of New Jersey, but even luckier when I was seated next to Michele, founder of Midwest Crochet and the talented woman who hand-makes her line of scarves, hats, headbands and more. Not only is she amazingly genius with a crochet hook, she’s also amazingly sweet. After meeting, she sent me my Infinity Scarf which has been a constant in my wardrobe since, and continues to be this spring. I wear it with everything – skinny jeans and cardigans, leggings and tees – its not just perfectly cozy, it’s perfectly versatile.
Want to know just how fabulous her handmade goodies are? They happen to be worn by some of New Jersey’s finest, Kathy Wakile herself and Melissa Gorga have been seen on and off the show donning Midwest Crochet scarves and hats.
I may not be looking forward to Friday’s cool weather, but at least I’ll be surrendering in style with my Midwest Crochet Infinity Scarf!
