It’s so hard to be in a bad mood this time of year. I’ve been noticing the teeniest of buds on trees and bushes during my runs and the grass is finally starting to green. In spite of my disdain for the cold temps during winter, I think I hate that weird time in between winter and spring even more. Everything is brown and dreary, even when the sun is shining. But this is the time of year when all you have to do is walk outside to notice the freshness of change in the air. It’s perfect. So perfect that I linger outside longer than necessary to complete projects that are a little less important than the ones I have waiting on me indoors. Work? Ummm…I will, but I noticed a few twigs in the yard I better pick up. Sweep the floors? I’ll get to it, but I really should sweep the sidewalks first. Wash the dishes? I can’t, I need a mental break…the only remedy is a cup of coffee and sunshine. You get the picture:)
This is the time of year when I can really never wait to break out my warm-weather favorites…mainly, sandals and dresses. Two of my favorites are featured below. One a silk cover-up that I’ve actually only ever worn casual over leggings, and the other, my go-to summer sandals. I think I would cry if anything ever happened to them, lol! I found them a few years ago in a cute little boutique when visiting a friend in Pittsburgh. And for those of you wondering how to maximize space in luggage while vacationing this summer, pack a few lightweight cover-ups…a beach essential by day, a casual option for dinner by night.
All of the above are old but here are some cute options instead:
Hope each of your week’s is off to a great start!
