Fall Chambray

Happy Monday everyone, hope your weekend was filled with all sorts of fun things…or at the very least, a day or two sans the alarm:) I am SO SO excited because I finally couldn’t put up with mis-matched walls any longer. I started painting in January…I’ve very slowly worked my way from one side of the house to the other and recently, when I’ve had a spare hour or two, I’ve finished painting the trim and windows. BUT, three walls in my living room remained untouched and I finally almost finished them this weekend…I ran out of paint with about a 3’x2.5’ space. I was SCRAPING every last drop I could with hopes it would magically be enough to do the trick, but…not quite:( Boo, but, for the most part it’s done and somewhat put back together!

Isn’t it funny how September hits and all-of-a-sudden, it’s fall? Just like that, the air doesn’t just feel different, it smells different…I walked outside this beautiful morning thinking, oh-to-the-my-goodness it smells like fall. As soon as that change hits, I reach for an autumn favorite…my chambray shirt. I wear it alone, I wear it under sweaters, I wear it over tees. I wear it with dark denim, white denim and black leggings. I pair it with boots, flats and wedges. Sometimes it’s tucked, sometimes it’s out, and sometimes, it’s some sort of tucked/untucked combo. It literally might be the most versatile fall piece in the world. That’s right folks, the entire world! It’s only fitting I wore this chambray button down as my first true fall outfit post which looks AMAZING with my new bracelet and earrings from Criscara’s new Fall/Winter Collection, Medalia Muse. Check out all of their old-world-meets-modern chic pieces – I have no doubt they have something that will pair well with all of your fall favorites:)

One of most versatile pieces for women in fall is a chambray shirt. With a variety of ways to wear them, it's easy to find inexpensive chambray tops at your favorite stores.

To add instant impact to any autumn outfit, make sure sleeves are rolled one to two times. Wrist candy such as bracelets, watches and cuffs will all be visible and keep outfits chic and on trend.

Two must have pieces for fall are fringe accessories and infinity scarves. Find fringe on bags, shoes, jewelry and shoes and make sure you don't over-do it. One fringe piece is enough!

Gold jewelry makes such a huge impact this season. It's easy to dress up your gold accessories or keep them more casual. If you have several favorites, don't be afraid to layer different textures of bracelets and different length necklaces.

When shopping for women's boots this fall, look for suede options with a slight wedge. These are comfortable shoe options for day wear, while still remaining super trendy.

Don't be afraid to mix hues all from the same color family such as this blue palette. This is a cute look for fall!
