The Best Shoes for Summer, Plus Mono-Flu-Usitis-Ergies
**This post contains affiliate links. Also, thank you to Athena Alexander for the shoes you see in this post. Opinions my own.
Way back on March 17th, I posted about this cute lil' gray dress (is it gray, or grey? I never know), and also mentioned how excited I was to be back on some kind of schedule. I jinxed myself.
Have you ever heard that quote, "if you want to make God laugh, tell him your plans?" I had planned on doing all sorts of things since that time. The truth is, the only thing I did was got sick. Literally the same day I posted that post. Like some kind of sickness that absolutely knocked me on my butt...I'm calling it mono-flu-usitis-ergies. It came complete with a fever, cough, watering eyes, a head that felt like it was going to explode and I could barely keep my eyes open. Mono-flu-usitis-ergies. I'm pretty sure that's the technical term.
Once I started feeling better I promptly cleaned my house, washed my bedding, ate Taco Bell (so weird, but I really wanted a rice and bean burrito) and made a cup of coffee - I went without coffee for over a week because it didn't sound good...the true sign I was sick.
I also couldn't wait to post these pics of this in-between winter and spring look - a cold-shoulder sweater and the cutest little shoes in the history of ever from Athena Alexander! I love the chunky wood heel - such a fun trend going on right now. I'm also obsessed with these Athena Alexander little espadrille flats. So. Dang. Cute.
This cold shoulder sweater is sold out, but I did find some other similar super cute options below!
Hope you all are having a fabulous week!!!
