Before I get to the heart of this post, I wanted to make sure you all saw this discount code for Crown Jewelry (where the cute ring came from). Use code Laura20 for 20% off your order. Yay!!!
Hi friends! Soooo, elephant in the room. This week has been heavy. Actually, the past month or two have been. While I don't want to discount what's going on in the world around us, I'm not big on writing about those kinds of things. They're awful. And if for a few seconds I can not think about the awfulness of said things, I'm going to take it. Even if that means writing about something small and trivial, it's fine. Life is big enough. My blog posts don't need to be.
So...ironing. Be serious. Is there anyone out there that enjoys ironing? And if you do....whyyyyy??? You guys I am as serious as a heart attack. I hate it. I would rather run 5 miles then iron a thing. Usually when I pull something out of the closet that is wrinkly, ironing is a last resort. It even trails using a blow dryer and not wearing it. I just hate it.
I'm telling you all of this, because when I got this cute lil' dress below, it was so wrinkly I thought it was one of those dresses that was supposed to be wrinkly. Like the wrinkles are baked in. Naturally, I loved it. Stupidly, for some reason I went online to look at it, I think I wanted to see if it came in other colors (it does, a wine and mustard that are perfect for fall) or something and I realized, it's not supposed to be wrinkly. Yeah. Imagine my dismay. Sadly, the pics in this post are after I discovered this and attempted to actually iron it. Turns out, I'm not all that good at it.
Allll that said, I still love this dress. I maybe need to find someone to get the wrinkles out, but, I will definitely be wearing it all fall long. Or, maybe I'll just keep the wrinkles. Life is short, wear the wrinkles (I think I just found my new motto)!
