Don’t look now but Memorial Day is right around the corner, meaning 4th of July is right around that. Summer is here and I am loving it.

I honestly can’t get enough of all of the red, white and blue outfits, patriotic food ideas and DIY 4th of July decor options out everywhere, BUT, some of the work and money you have to put behind those ideas….well, I may as well have started saving/planning right after Christmas, ya feel me?

Not to fear everyone, I’ve got you covered, starting with patriotic outfits. I admit, I’m not super crazy about themed outfits, but I’m not sure I really consider these cute pieces “themed,” since I can wear them year-round. I found this adorable navy sweatshirt at Target for under $20. Perfect if either the Memorial Day or 4th of July evenings turn chilly. In the below widget, I’m sharing so many cute pieces, all under 25 bucks and each perfect for all of you patriots out there.

You can get my USA sweatshirt here and my destructed jean shorts here. The jeans were almost gone from my local Target, so get 'em before they're gone:)

Memorial Day Weekend Decor Ideas

Now that you’re looking fine as wine for your parties, lets talk decor! I love chic pieces that are festive but not over the top like lights and flowers. And, lets face it, what backyard BBQ wouldn’t be better with a snow cone maker? These below decor options will look amazing on any deck - lights, planters with red and white flowers, some red, white or blue outdoor pillows for seating plus a few finishing touches for fun.

Ok, so we look fly AF, our outdoor spaces are ready for the party of the year and now it’s all about the serving pieces. I usually opt for plain paper plates and/or bowls to help make cleanup super easy, but I’ve found a few special options as well. Although I might not pull them out for everyone to eat on, I do use my festive plates to hold things like cookies and other small hand-held bites. I love the options below from Target!

If you’re still in the midst of planning the perfect party, I’ve found some easy 4th of July recipes and (and Memorial Day too), plus some DIY projects that will be a snap to put together.

Memorial Day Recipes:
