The Little Red Dress You Need for Summer!

Thank you to Flying Colors Apparel for sending me this cute Scooped Neck Racerback Tank Dress. Find my shoes below, as well as my favorite tee and tank dresses for the rest of summer!
Happy weekend everyone!!! Even though I work from home, I always get excited for the weekend. I let myself sleep in on Saturdays sooooo, ya know....is there anything better than that? Actually, on Saturdays, I just don't turn my alarm on. I still usually wake up by 6, and then out of spite lay in bed for at least 30 minutes because it's Saturday. Anyways, I love no-alarm Saturdays:)
I'm equally in love with this adorable dress from Flying Colors Apparel (link above) because it is PERFECT for summer! Super casual, easy to layer, and welllll...it's red, so yes, it's a definite favorite in my summer rotation.
I love that the back and front hemlines are just a couple of inches longer, but weirdly, every time I've worn it, it feels a little short. Hence, the button-down tied at my waist. Somehow that makes it feel longer, even though, yes, I am completely aware it's not.
And can we talk about these Kenneth Cole platform sneaker shoes for just a sec? I found them last fall on sale - they're still available, see the link above - and haven't stopped wearing them. They're SO comfy and perfect for literally, each and every casual outfit...jeans, skirts, dresses, shorts, leggings...I've worn them with everything! See how I wore them in early spring here!
Do you have any go-to things you've been gravitating toward this summer? It's been so hot and humid here, loose fitting tee and tank dresses have been my number one for running errands or casual lunches/iced coffee dates with friends. And if you're wondering what to wear on a plane for upcoming trips, they're absolutely perfect since they're so easy to layer! Pair with a cardigan, button-down or sweater for planes, airports or cars whose temperature controls are out of your hands.
What's on your agenda for the weekend? I'm still not sure what I'm doing yet - hopefully seeing some family. Last night I went out with some friends from high school I hadn't seen in two years! It was amazing - we sat at our table for nearly 6 hours catching up. It's so funny that we can pick right back up where we left off. Hopefully it's not another 2 years before we see each other again - that was way too long! Whatever it is that you're doing this upcoming Saturday and Sunday, I hope you enjoy it:) :) :)
