Cold Brewing with Nespresso

**Thank you to Nespresso for supplying the coffee seen in this post. Thank YOU readers for supporting the brands that support my blog:)

You know what I hate? I hate it when I see little articles on Pinterest or Facebook, advertising "How to Lose 5 Pounds in 3 Minutes," or "How to Succeed at Every Single Thing You Do. Ever.," or, "How to Do your Makeup Like J.Lo. And Be as Successful as J. Lo. And Basically Be J.Lo, in Only One Week!"

I meeeean, I'm not stupid Pinterest and Facebook, if it were that easy, everyone would be doing it. And I, along with everyone else, knows it takes at least 6 minutes to lose 5 pounds, and that you probably can't be successful at every single thing, more like 99% of the things. And be J. Lo in a week? Ha! I bet it takes two. And a half.

With the above in mind, I thought you all would LOVE to know, "How to Beat the Heat in Summer." You know, when it's about 95 degrees out and roughly 3,000% humidity. It's so easy, I swear. It's called stay inside and don't move. Or buy a pool. Or move to the Arctic.

You're welcome world:)

Now, for those of you who for whatever lame reason or another, can't make any or all of the above work for you, I've come up with an alternative. It's not nearly as good as the above, BUT, I want to make even the picky people out there happy. So, here goes:

Nespresso Cold Brew. I promise, this is so much better than moving to the Arctic! Nespresso recently introduced two new flavors, Intenso on Ice and Leggero on Ice, specifically made for cold brewing. Have you ever made a cold brew at home? Life. Changing.

You can learn all about the Limited Edition Nespresso On Ice Line here.

The Macchiato recipes are so easy (the regular ones are too, just sub cold water for milk froth...but I was feeling all fancy when I took these pics):

1) Add Ice to Glass
2) Add your preferred hot Nespresso Cold Brew capsule
3) Pour in 3 oz. of cold milk froth

Now, if you happen to realize your milk frother is permanently never frothing milk again, right when you're ready to take pictures of the gorgeous cold brew you're creating, don't fret. That may or may not have actually happened (yeah, it did) but I did find some solutions for any of you without a frother: shaking (I am not even being sarcastic, that was actually recommended a lot, but, it seemed hard, so no thanks), and a blender (which worked like a charm).

Update! I now actually don’t use froth at all. Instead while my Nespresso is brewing, I like to delicately pour Natural Bliss creamer in Vanilla into my concoction. Natural Bliss uses only NATURAL ingredients in their creamers, making them a better option than anything using ingredients you cannot pronounce.

If you don’t have a Nespresso machine, you can create a similar drink by brewing extra strong coffee, at least double the strength, pour over ice and add your froth or flavored cream.
